SANDY BLAKEBOROUGH

Has a nursing background and then moved into health promotion; training in Leeds in 1985 to cerificate level and later in Birmingham to Masters level. This included  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and  working with groups and individuals to help people  change unwanted behaviours. After moving back to Hampshire 2000 she has worked with individuals and couples on their relationship problems. She has studied whilst working with "Relate"  to gain a certificate in couple counselling in Rugby and in London to gain Post Graduate Diploma level in couple therapy. This has integrated  systemic, psychosexual and psychodynamic therapy into her therapy. During 2007 she expanded her skills to include EMDR for post traumatic stress. As an accredited member of BACP and UK Registered Independent Counsellor she has a private practice on the outskirts of Portsmouth, Hampshire in Widley and Cosham. In 2010 she trained to be a supervisor of other couple and individual counsellors.
